I’m riding in this year's United Energy Around the Bay to help Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision fund vital research and provide support for patients living with Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes and their families.
Every 3 days, an Australian is diagnosed with a Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome. Distressingly, most of them are children and young adults, and 50% will not survive. Thousands more are living with ongoing complex health issues.
By supporting my ride, you're helping power the incredible research that will unlock better treatments and cures for people living with Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes and ensure they can access the support they need.
It's been a bit difficult to prepare myself for this year's ride - my twentieth ATB - due to a ski injury and subsequent recovery training in the Alsace, France, but I hope to make it around again.
