In memory of Rob Whitwell

With our gratitude to the Madi Riewoldt foundation in providing a way of finding new hope for Severe Aplastic Anaemia sufferers in the future, through research.

Rob, with Brian Welch, convinced me to put my name forward for the presidency of the Master Builders Association of Victoria. He was a great support during my term as president. It was one of the best experiences of my career. He will be sadly missed David and Brenda Newnham

Losing such a wonderful friendship is deeply felt but the fun times and memories we shared will always remain with me. Let's hold on to hope that with continued research, solutions will be quickly found.

Rob was a reliable colleague who provided measured and common sense advice during my time at the MBA. I had no idea that he had been battling this awful blood disorder.

Many thanks Rob for being such an amazing and loyal client (and great friend) from the early Consulere days to Salzer/Abigroup through to Essendon Fields (where crossed the floor together). Rob Whitwell’s dedication to Master Builders Victoria (MBV) and the building and construction industry spanned many years, including his roles as Treasurer, Vice President, President, and Past President. His exceptional contributions were recognised with Life Membership in 2006. Our thoughts are with Diane, Andrew, Penny, and their families during this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathies to the Whitwell family. We have such fond memories of time spent with Rob in Melbourne, Port Arlington and remember his great speech at Andrew and Robyn’s wedding in Malta. Rob was a wonderful person to work on the Board of the Master Builders Association. He had boundless energy for everything and everyone. He died too young. My condolences to Diane and his family.

Roberto was an inspiration, mentor and a friend to me, Anne, Lucia, Katie & Charlie. We have so many memories over the past few decades and are thinking of Diane, Andrew, Penny and family during this difficult period.
